Working to Ensure Brand Promises Align with Student Experiences




In 2020, I successfully defended my dissertation, "Promises to Keep: How Institutional Brand Aligns with the Adult Learner Experience," and earned my doctorate from Northeastern University. Prior to that, I earned a Master of Arts in Publishing from Oxford Brookes University in the UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in marketing at the University of Arizona where I served as co-editor of The Cat Scan digital magazine and interned at the University of Arizona Press.


I am a data-driven marketer with nearly 15 years of progressive experience within strategic branding and multi-channel marketing working to cultivate esteemed brands, grow enrollment, and lead joyful and productive marketing teams. As the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Marketing and Brand Strategy at the University of Colorado Denver, I aim to champion equitable education and deliver exceptional student experiences. Higher education has the power to transform lives and I am proud to lead the marketing and branding efforts for an institution providing high-quality education that works for all.  Prior to joining CU Denver, I served as the lead marketer and chief branding officer for University College, the college of continuing education at the University of Denver.


Recognized as a leader in teaching excellence at the University of Denver, I've taught more than 60 graduate-level courses including topics in marketing analytics, social media strategy, and brand management strategies. Students have expressed appreciation for my timely and relevant feedback, real-world examples, and creative approach to course delivery in both online and campus settings.


Whether conducting research on the intersection of branding and higher education, or staying actively involved in leading associations for online and continuing education, I take pride in being a scholar-practitioner and connecting with my community of practice.
